Sporting enquiry - 06/06/2008

I’m desperately trying to get my pupils interested in sport, but with England performing badly in almost all sporting areas, I’m finding it really difficult to motivate them.

With the 2012 Olympics only four years away I shouldn’t even have to worry about this, the chance to compete on home soil should be enough.

I was hoping someone would be able to suggest some day trips or weekends away with sport the central theme? I want to show the kids the fun and inspiring side of sport, and not just the bits where you’re tired and sweaty.
