Wonderful world of bees - 18/05/2007

I just wanted to write and tell you that my class of Year 3 students recently visited the Natural History Museum’s beehive in the garden and they loved it. After seeing the bees in their hive they were all worried to hear that so many of them were dying out. In fact when they came back to class they wanted to set up a bee sanctuary and set about planting plants with lots of pollen that will attract bees in the summer. We are also hoping that the wonderful world of bees resource will make it to our school to follow up the kids’ successful visit.
