Shakespeare’s Globe revives The Merry Wives of Windsor - 23/07/2010

Shakespeare’s Globe is reviving Christopher Luscombe’s acclaimed 2008 production of The Merry Wives of Windsor, for a run at the Globe between 14th August and 2nd October, before embarking on an international and UK tour.

Many of the 2008 cast will return, including Christopher Benjamin as Falstaff, Serena Evans as Mistress Page, Sarah Woodward as Mistress Ford and Andrew Havill as Frank Ford. Joining the 2010 production is Hollyoaks actor Gerard McCarthy as Fenton, Barnaby Edwards as Rugby and Ceri-Lyn Chissone as Anne Page.

Tour dates include Milton Keynes Theatre between the 16th and the 20th November, Richmond Theatre on the 23rd to 27th November, and the Theatre Royal in Bath on the 6th to the 11th December.

Education events running alongside this performance at Shakespeare’s Globe include a pre-performance workshop – Setting the Scene, and Talking Theatre. The events run on various dates, log onto the website for clarification.
